Throughout the development trend of manufacturing enterprises athome and abroad, they are stepping into the informationization era. ERP EnterpriseResource Planning (Enterprise Resource Planning) is expanded from the managementinformation system of manufacturing industry of MRPII, and it is a comprehensiveEnterprise of the supply chain Enterprise management information system. ERP system inmanufacturing is widespread popularized and promoted of the enterprise, and it makes anumber of enterprises feel the ERP system for enterprise cost management and costmanagement smoothly, especially ERP system can reduce a large amount of cost forenterprise management, and bring more benefits for the enterprise, so it improve enterprisecompetitiveness in the market. The popularity of the enterprise information managementand the wide application of ERP system make contribution to the improvement of theenterprise management, and the preliminary realization of management informationintegration and sharing, which provide the enterprise operation, management and decisionwith timely and effective information. However, during the implementation of the ERPsystem, there are still some problems such as the effective way to input data and make costanalysis and management according to data in the utilization of ERP system for costmanagement. In order to solve the above problems, some deep analysis and discussion incombination with the practical situation of the enterprise are neededTaking the X manufacturing company as an example, combine with the characteristicsof the enterprise, with the guidance of summary and induction method, qualitative analysismethod, method of combination with theory and practice research, this paper discusses thedemand for enterprise ERP system, enterprise ERP system architecture, enterprise ERPsystem implementation mode, etc.; and make some investigation and analysis for currentsituation of cost management under the company’s ERP system; meanwhile, it points outsome problems of cost management guided by the company’s ERP system, and putsforward some suggestions for improvement to perfect the function of ERP system andimprove the usefulness of management information.
