In2013per capita GDP of China reached$5414, and the urbanization rate of it was53.73%, China has entered the period of accelerated development of urbanization. According to international experience, this period will experience a drastic change in the urban and rural structure, the widening gap between rich and poor, various social contradictions and so on. For the stable development of socialist construction, Chinese government has proposed the new model of urbanization. In China, the key to the realizement of new urbanization lie in the development of rural industry. This paper reviews the domestic and international urbanization development type, power, content, and then compares them with each other. With the analysis of Hua Ming model; Wen Zhou model and Su Nan model, I put forward some advice about the development of industry in the process of China’s rural urbanization.This paper is divided into eight chapters:the first chapter of the thesis is mainly about the background of thesis, research purpose and research ideas are briefly introduced; the second chapter states the domestic and foreign industry choice study; the third analyzes the theoretical basis for the selection of industries in the process of the rural urbanization; Chapter four pays attention to the premise、type and strategies of industry development; the fifth chapter introduces the current domestic typical centralized rural urbanization development model; the sixth chapter put forward several proposals in Chinese rural industry development; and the seventh is mainly about the strategies of industry selection in the process of rural urbanization. In the last chapter, I make a conclusion about all the whole passage and bring forward some potential research directions according to the practices.
