An Empirical Study Of China High-tech Exports On Domestic-funded Enterprises Innovation Capability

High-tech industry is the strategic leading industry in the national economy, is animportant force to promote the transformation of economic development mode and theadjustment of the industrial structure. Improving domestic enterprises innovationcapability is the key to China high-tech industry competitiveness.High-tech exportsare the important channel to enhance the domestic enterprises innovation capability.High-tech products export enterprises in the fierce competition in the internationalmarket will continue to carry out technological innovation, and technology spilloverin the export trade will also affect the domestic enterprises innovation.This paper, basing on the theoretical basis of the impact of high-tech exports onthe domestic-funded enterprises innovation capacity, using the data about13threesub-sectors in high-tech industry of China from1998to2011, creating a dynamicpanel data model, and using the system GMM estimation method, empirically studieson the impact of the high-tech exports on the high-tech industry innovation capabilityin the technology development stage and technology application stage, andspecifically examines competition effect and demonstration-imitation effect and staffmobility effect. Also examines the effects of R&D investment and technology gap anddegree of industry openness on the high-tech exports to promote technical innovation.The research results show as follows: high-tech exports through three routespromote China high-tech industy’domestic-funded enterprises innovation; R&Dinvestment,in the technology development stage plays a active role on high-techexports promoting the high-tech industry innovation capacity,in the technologyapplication stage is not obvious;Industry technology gap is larger, in both the twostage,the effect of high-tech exports promoting technological innovations is moresignificant; The degree of industry openness in the industry is higher, in both the twostage,the effect of high-tech exports promoting technological innovations is moresignificant. Finally, based on the above conclusions, this paper puts forwardrecommendations on enhancing the technological innovation capability of the localhigh-tech enterprises in China.
