The Research About The Influence Labor Mobility On China’s Regional Economic

The strict Chinese household registration system and land system restrict the freeflow of labor force, causing unreasonable use of labor resource for a long time andmaking large numbers of laborers be in recessive unemployment. At the same time,planned economic system limits development of China’s urbanization andindustrialization, so the process of China’s marketization can also be seen as the processof urbanization and industrialization. The marketization requires China to ease theintervention of market economy and take more market mechanism to adjust economicdevelopment. The interregional flow of labor shows that the reconfiguration of marketmechanism adjusts labor resource, and it exerts an influence on urbanization andindustrialization in every region.With the development of urbanization, industrialization and globalization, Chinaderegulates the free flow of labor force gradually, which causes large scale of laborresources to flow into economic developed cities. Therefore, it forms the epitome ofChinese economic development since the reform and opening up policy, promotingharmonious development of China’s regional economy.This paper sets the status analysis and cause analysis of labor flow as the startingpoint, then it describes common feature and individual feature of China’s labor flow aswell as main factor which influences the making decision of flow. Time series method isused to analyze the role that each influencing factor plays in China’s decision making oflabor flow. This paper mainly focuses on the relation of labor flow with regionaleconomic growth, urbanization level, industrialization level and stock of human capitalas well as the research of convergence of labor flow in different areas of China. This partmainly uses macro economic growth model to analyze, and meanwhile it combinesprovincial panel data of three regions to have empirical test. And it puts forward somepolicy suggestions based on theoretical analysis and empirical analysis.The purpose of research in this paper are as follows: to have a general grasp of laborflow by summarizing the status and causes of current labor flow; By studying the relationof labor flow with regional economy and regional convergence, China can have furtherunderstanding of improving agglomeration effect of spatial economy, speeding the free flow of labor force, promoting the economic growth, urbanization level, industrializationprogress and stock of human capital in each area, reducing regional economicdifferences.Through the research, we can draw conclusions: China should promote the free flowof labor and well play the role of market mechanism in reconfiguration so as to furtherpromote the economic development in economic developed regions and cities and makefull play of urban agglomeration effect and industrial agglomeration effect, achievingscale economy and improving stock of human capital. At the same time, China cancoordinate economic development between regions and urban&rural by using the freeflow of labor force. Thus, China can make regions and urban&rural developharmoniously and reduce the differences of regional economic growth so as to achievethe harmony of socialism society.
