Study Of Liu Shaoqi’s Thoughts On Reform Of Socialist Economic System

After socialist system has been basically established in China, Chinese Communistsused Soviet Union’s experience as reference to exert efforts in constructing socialism ofSoviet mode. However, the disadvantages of Soviet mode were gradually revealed, soChinese Communists were pushed to explore their own way to construct socialism. Inthis tough time and period, Liu Shaoqi conducted theoretical innovation, so that thereform thoughts of socialist economic system arose at this time in response to thisdifficult situation. With abundant contents and realistic and pragmatic spirits, his reformthoughts of socialist economic system provided guidance of great significance to theeconomic construction at that time, and laid the ideological foundation for the finalformation of Deng Xiaoping Theory. Therefore, the author thinks it of great significanceto make a comprehensive and systematic study of Liu Shaoqi’s reform thoughts ofsocialist economic system, summarize the gain and loss in reform of the economicsystem, explore the rules of economic development, and thus inherit Liu Shaoqi’s wealthof thoughts, and offer inspiration to current reform of economic system.The author combines the methods of longitudinal study and cross-sectional study inthis paper. In longitudinal study, the author grasps the development and effects of LiuShaoqi’s reform thoughts of socialist economic system; in cross-sectional study, theauthor makes a comparative study of his reform thoughts of socialist economic systemwith the socialist theory with Chinese characteristics of Maozedong Thought and DengXiaoping Theory under the grand background of Chinese Communist Party’s history andChinese national history.
