Research And Analysis On The Production And Technology Of Citrus In Guangxi Zhuang Automous Regions

China is one of the world’s origin citrus, and citrus in China has a long history. In China, citrus cultivated acreage processes the first place of the world. Science and technology have become the important support for agricultural development, so relying on advanced technology is the key to promoting sound and rapid development of citrus industry. China’s "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" clearly put forward that" to strengthen Agricultural science and technology achievements transformation system is the key to agricultural development and farmers’income.Since2002, Guangxi carrying out the idea of "Optimal fruit engineering ", the citrus in Guangxi has made a great progress. But comparing with other strong province in China, there is still a gap. Technological factors remain important bottlenecks such as, the research and development of new varieties, improved prevention and treatment of plant diseases and insect pests, cultivating technology innovation, which are restricting the development of Guangxi citrus and urgent to be solved. It is imperative to enhance the level of citrus production in Guangxi and strengthen the competitiveness of citrus technology of Guangxi.The condition of citrus production and development of science and technology at home and abroad were introduced in this paper. At the same time, the advancement of citrus industry at home and abroad brings revelation to the development of citrus industry in Guangxi. Secondly the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods are adopted to evaluate the level of development of citrus industry in Guangxi. This paper used the method of SWOT to analyze citrus production in Guangxi, including advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and challenges.
