The financial crisis in America is the most severe one since1929, which really harm the world economy awfully. Financial innovation does not have the same pace with the financial supervision, which is thought by many people as the root cause. After the crisis, different countries all over the world began to think of the financial regulatory system. The United States of America, Britain and the European Union has implemented a series of financial regulation reforms. The China Banking Regulatory Commission plays a main role in avoiding the domestic banks to be involved in the financial crisis. More than90%of financial assets are made of China’s banking assets. The economic growth is mainly decided by the stability of the whole banking system. So the banking regulation is of great importance.This thesis firstly concludes the necessity of banking regulation through banks’ features as well as basic theories on commercial banks regulation mode. History, current status and future prospect of commercial banks regulation mode are also expounded in this part. Then the thesis states the general theory of banking regulation mode and illustrates the five banking regulation modes under standard of regulatory body as well as two banking regulation modes by central bank’s responsibility. Next step the thesis researches the efficiency and features of our nation’s financial regulation mode. Afterwards the thesis compares several banking regulation modes worldwide and points out what we should learn from other countries. At last the thesis mentions our disadvantages in banking regulation system and puts forward the construction of Chinese character banking regulation mode. The thesis points out that both internal and external management should be listed at high rank to discipline not only the banks, but also the regulators.
