Along with the development of economic and social progress, intensifyingcompetition between enterprises, the psychological feelings of staffs has dramaticlychanged. Employees’ emotions and the ability to adjust control emotions will directlyaffect their work behavior, so as to effect the development of enterprise. For Chineseenterprise managers, understanding the employee’s emotional state, adopting theappropriate leadership style to stimulate the staff’s positive working behavior toenhance management effectiveness is very necessary. What will the manager’sleadership style impact the subordinate’s emotion and work behavior? How does themanagers’s leadership style influence the subordinates’ emotion regulation ability andwork behavior? What kind of leadership style will play a more and more importantrole in complying with the requirements of the modern organization? Adapting anappropriate leadership style to motivate employee work attitude and behavior which isadvantageous to the enterprise is becoming the research topic of both the theory andmanagement practice.Firstly, this article summarized the theory of leadership style, emotional labor,and organizational citizenship behavior, then used the emotional theory and socialexchange theory to analysis the relationship among them. On the basis of literatureresearch, in view of China’s current special economic environment, socialenvironment and cultural environment, this article explored the mechanism ofmanagement leadership style on employees’ emotional labor and job behavior, such asorganizational citizenship behavior, proposed the research hypothesis. Finally, thisarticle carried out an empirical research on t leadership style, emotional labor andorganizational citizenship behavior.The results showed that laissez-faire leadershipstyle positively predictive surface acting, but transactional and transformationalleadership styles positively predict deep acting; surface acting negatively predict theorganization citizenship behavior, but deep acting has opposite effect on it;laissez-faire leadership style has a significant negative effect on organizationcitizenship behavior, while the transactional and transformational leadership stylespositively predict it. Additionally, surface acting can strengthen the negativerelationship between laissez-faire leadership style and organization citizenshipbehavior, and weaken the positive relationship between transactional leadership styleand organization citizenship behavior.Under the framework of emotional labor, this paper deeply explors the relationship between leadership style and organizational citizenship behavior, whichwill further enrich emotional labor related research. Meanwhile, the research resultswill provide Chinese enterprise management practice, particularly for commercialbanking leaders to choose the appropriate leadership style, manage the employees’semotional labor and motivate their institutional civic behavior, thereby improvingmanagement efficiency.
