The Study On Japan’s Influence To Sino-canadian Economic Relations After The Cold War

Sino-Canadian relations has maintained a good momentum since the two countries established diplomatic relations in1970, and bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields has achieved a stable and positive development without largefluctuations and serious negative impact. Especially Sino-Canadian economic relations has made a breakthrough development. But because of this, some Western countries, especially the United States and Japan, made a lot of destructive effects toSino-Canadian economic relations in the competition, for their own unilateral interests, making the economic relation which has been built up well becomes more and more uncertain. Attentions should be paid to the negative factors to the Sino-Canadian economic relations caused by Western countries by playing a zero-sum game, otherwise severe turbulence and backwards may occur to the good and stableeconomic relationship in the future.From competing geopolitical perspective, it is very prominent that Japan playsnegative factors in the competition of Sino-Canadian economic relations with China. So what kind of impact has neighboring Japan brought to Sino-Canadian economic relations, if there is a positive side, or there is only negative impact? Researches on this issue is almost blank at present. Recently, due to the rapid development, Sino-Canadian economic relations has become more and more important. Doing research on the influence of another country to the relations can not only fillthe gaps of related research, but also hope to provide reference on decision-making about Sino-Canadian problems to our country. And also to provide some valuable theoretical support to the research of bilateral economic political relations.Firstly, the article discusses the problem that whether Japan is going to affectthe Sino-Canadian economic relations or not with theories of IPE and IR. And what are the reasons and motives of Japan. Then putting year2000as a watershed,by reading and analyzing the informations from official documents and articles on scholar journals, to find out the Japan factors in the Sino-Canadian economic relations. By comparing economic data of China-Canada, Japan-Canada and China-Japan of different times and taking some events as examples, the article succeed indigging out the Japan factors in Sino-Canadian economic relations. At the end of the article, there are some suggestions and advices for China’s government on thedevelopment of Sino-Canadian economic relations in the new period.
