Abstract/Summary:
Since1990s, income distribution structure of China has had substantial changes. At present, the small share of households and large share both of governments andenterprises in the primary distribution and redistribution process are the prominentcharacteristics of China’s income distribution structure. Clearly, the incomedistribution is tilting toward governments and enterprises. As a result, this irrationaldistribution structure not only leads to high rates of investment and insufficientconsumption in economic operation, but also impedes macro economic development. In order to resolve the development difficulties during the transform of economicconstruction, China is obliged to adjust the relationships among governments, enterprises and households, and distribute resources efficiently. The properadjustment of income distribution structure has been the core of transformingdevelopment pattern in China. In the study, based on the newest and continual national accounts data and thestatistical system of cash flow data, it applied the empirical research for the incomedistribution structure of China. In the previous three chapters, it analyzed the trends, current situations and their reasons about the income distribution structure of Chinarespectively. The study implied that the current income distribution structure isinconsistent with the developing stage of economy. The irrational income distributionstructure reflected both on unbalanced distribution relationships and on respectiveinternal income structure. In chapter four, the article compared the incomedistribution structure of China and America’s, outlining the differences between them.Basically, the ratio of labor incomes, property income and transferred income to GDPare too small; the operating profits of enterprises to GDP is large and continuesincreasing; the share of net producer tax and current transferred income grow too fast. These three reasons are responsible to the irrational income distribution of China. In the last chapter, the study proposed several helpful measures to tackle thecurrent problems among governments, enterprises and households respectively basedon the aims to fulfill the need of enhancing the income distribution structure.
