With the development of political and economic processes of globalization,Political relations, diplomacy and various institutional system were given newmeaning and duty.In-depth analysis and a correct understanding of the new situationof international political relations,institutional system and economic activity,It is notonly realistic demand but also theoretical development requires.This paper focuses onthe OFDI of China’s to the resource-based countries, Then use of internationalrelations theory,institution theory and international business theory to research theimpact of bilateral political relations on China’s OFDI to the resource-based Nations.First, the assumption is proposed based on related disciplines of theoretical andempirical research.Then use the investment data of OFDI of China’s to36resource-based countries among2003-2012,and Panel Corrected Standard Error totest the assumption.The results showed that:first, the establishment of bilateraldiplomatic and political system can effectively safeguard China’s OFDI activities ontheir.Second,the bilateral friendly diplomatic activity can effectively promote thedevelopment of OFDI.Third,bilateral diplomatic activity can effectively overcomethe adverse effects from the imperfect institution of the host country.The result ofempirical has some significant meaning on the expansion of theory and the guidanceof practice.
