At present credit business is still the leading business of Chinese commercial bank,which has led directly to the situation that interest income is the main source of domesticcommercial banks’ earnings. As the development of society and economy, intensifyingfinancial supervision, reality of financial disintermediation, narrowing interest rate spreadsand interest rate liberalization, all of these along with other factors have led to the challenge tothe development pattern that domestic commercial banks relying solely on credit business,and this challenge has a direct impact on the survival and development of commercial banks.So we must speed up the business transformation, innovate business development pattern andexpand the intermediate business income channels by providing a comprehensive package offinancial services to the customers, meet the growing demand of cash management business,thereby enhance the market competitiveness of commercial banks. Therefore, cashmanagement service, as a new financial product which increases the intermediary businessincome, has attracted considerable attention in commercial banks.There is still a certain gap in cash management business between domestic commercialbanks and foreign advanced banks. However, enterprises are increasingly focusing on thefactors of capital such as utilization efficiency, liquidity and yield, that encouragescommercial banks to take this as an opportunity and seek revenue growth out of creditbusiness.This paper starts from the basic theory of cash management business and makes analysisbased on case study by linking theory with practice. The paper introduces the current situationand the product characteristics of cash management business of CCB Handan Branch,integrates cash management business of CCB Handan Branch by analyzing company JZ’ scash management needs, and makes plan for the company. The paper also givesrecommendations for improvement. From the research of this paper, the author thinks thatcash management is the embodiment of a bank’s comprehensive competitiveness. CCBHandan Branch has actively started exploring in cash management business in despite of some shortcomings in the business development. In the face of cash management businesswhich is a intermediary business products with huge potential market, CCB Handan Branchshould combine its own advantage and take the customer demand as the core. To improvecash management business, CCB Handan Branch should start from following aspects:changing concept of development, constructing market management, strengthening productplanning, strengthening brand building, improving development guarantee and carrying outthe "customer-centric" service concept.
