A Manufacturing Execution System Implementation Case Research In A Large Household Appliances Enterprises

In the30years of China’s reform and opening up, the home appliance industry is the earlieropen industry，because fully competitive market in this industry, creating a G company,Haier, Midea, etc.，who has a pivotal global carrier-class enterprises.Due to extremely competitive market, the current market is a low-profit appliance market.For a long period of time, China’s cheap labor and material costs are a very competitivefactors. However, in the foreseeable future, our human resources and material costs havebeen impossible to have had a competitive advantage. Chinese home appliance industryneeds to re-establish core competencies in other areas, in addition to the accumulation ofinnovation and intellectual property, advanced manufacturing technology, advancedmanufacturing and information technology, but also a need to master the corecompetitiveness. In the current large home appliance enterprises, how to use the system bymeans of information, the information in the manufacturing environment to build in this area,to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises, is the focus of this article.The purpose of this article is to through G’s manufacturing execution (hereinafter referred toas MES) implementation case system, described by a series of questions on how to resolveinternal G MES production planning and production process, including productioninefficiencies, internal constraints information integration problems, production bottlenecksbusiness processes, coordination and interaction manufacturing execution systems and othersystem problems, manufacturing execution systems manufacturing operations in theinformation environment in the positioning and so on. Thus for large household appliancesmanufacturing industry, providing some of the project implementation, site management,process streamlining, system planning advice and information.In the discussion framework, first a brief introduction to Company G, and G’s MESproject background, analyzes the significance of the implementation of MES applianceindustry, the definition of MES, the development process, the main function of the MESapplication home and abroad, have done a brief description. Then details the G’s MESproject implementation experience, including a detailed description of the demand for thecase, implementation, and system operating results, and overall operations from the project,in materials management, quality tracking, financial management, three levels do overall summary. Finally, the MES as a core system, located inthe operating environment of the manufacturing done in detail. The innovation of this paperis to show a home appliance industry MES system framework and implementation process,including the complete process from build to full implementation, is a typical case of MESadvance, with strong theoretical and practical value.In this paper, the effect of the G’s MES system implementation, including the MESworkshop delivery module, process management module, quality management module,manufacturing modules and other modules in MES actual implementation process, a detaileddescription of the needs and requirements analysis, as well as to achieve results discussed inthe large appliance manufacturers manufacturing operations environment to build, the statusof MES systems, ERP systems and traditional contrast, the difference between MES system,and MES systems in business applications to the existing situation and future trends.
