A Study On The Sustainable Development Of Plant-eating Animal Husbandry In Gansu

Pastoral areas in Gansu are the fifth largest pastoral areas in China. Combined with thedevelopment of half-pastoral and farming areas, the Gansu plant-eating animal husbandryoccupies a decisive position in the country. In resent years, by the driving of the short-terminterests, many factors lead to the degeneration of the grassland ecosystem, and in turn thedegeneration brings a harsh negative impact on the human production and living. How to takeeffectively advance of grassland resources, restore ecology, increase farmers and herdsmenincome, and enhance their cultural quality and market awareness is the key to the sustainabledevelopment of plant-eating animal husbandry. Therefore, this article is based on sustainabletheory to analyze these crucial issues of sustainable development of plant-eating animalhusbandry in Gansu.The basic content of this paper is divided mainly into six parts: The first part is theintroduction, it firstly introduces the topic background and significance of this paper,summarizes the related research of scholars at home and abroad, and then introduces theresearch methods and technical route of this article, and then points out the possibleinnovation points. The second part explains the theoretical basis associated with sustainabledevelopment, including the theory of sustainable development, the theory of sustainableagriculture development and the theory of sustainable animal husbandry development. Thethird part analyzes the course and current situation for the sustainable development ofplant-eating animal husbandry in Gansu, and points out the existing problems during theprogress of it. The fourth part indicates the factors on the sustainable development ofplant-eating animal husbandry in Gansu, analyzing respectively from the demand, resource,policy environment, science and technology of the sustainable development. The fifth part isthe empirical analysis, according to the data from2003to2011, in constructing the indexsystem for the sustainable development of plant-eating animal husbandry in Gansu, this paperevaluates comprehensively its sustainable development level, and the results suggest that thesustainable development level of plant-eating animal husbandry in Gansu rises on the whole,but there are individual years still existing small-scope fluctuation; And through analyzing thecoordination degree during the subsystem, the paper finds it develops for the gooddirection——from basic inharmonious to basic harmonious, but it still doesn’t reach the ideal coordination state. The sixth part is the epilogue, showing clearly the main conclusion, puttingforward the relevant policy suggestions, and pointing out the weakness.
