With the rapid development of technology and global economy, IT industry, especially ERPsoftware industry, has faced both new opportunities and challenges of improving the marketcompetitiveness. How to build the project implementation consultant competency model becomesthe basic work of all human resources activities including staff recruitment, position adjustment,training and development, performance appraisal, compensation management, career design,etc.And the core of competition among enterprises is the key position talent competition. Complywith the trend of the depth fusion of informatization and industrialization, Aerospace enterpriseimplements the resource integration, process optimization and management control among"person, money, material, production, supply and sales" by constructing the ERP system.Aerospace enterprise implements a better ERP project implementation consultant than a generalone, aerospace enterprise is focus on the understanding of aerospace enterprise background,importing the capacity of coaching, training and consulting of ERP management system for largestate-owned enterprises, and importing the ability of the flexible application by combining thebasic theory of ERP and enterprise practice.This paper carried out theoretical research about the competency model of aerospace enterprisesERP project implementation consultant. It analyzed theory evidence of building the competencymodel, and deduced a basic method of building the competency model system. That is refiningcompetency index、modifying competency index、testing competency index、deriving competencymodel、 competency model validation and application of competency model. This papersummarizes the basic structure of the competency model of aerospace enterprises implementingERP project consultant, the first level is the "benchmark competency" and "differentiatingcompetency" two dimensions, the second level is the common factor, the third level is competencyindex. The paper took W company as an empirical analysis to study the object. The writer usedexpert interview method to further modified competency characteristic index, designedquestionnaires accordingly, and did some surveying in the case company. Finally, by using factoranalysis method to study the questionnaire data, the writer extracted the specific content ofcompetency index, and constructed the aerospace enterprises ERP project implementationconsultant competency model.
