Research On The Interaction Of Producer Services And Manufacturing Of Xi’an City

Industrialization is necessary to a country’s economic development and socialprogress, which is an unsurpassable historical stage. Manufacturing is an importantpoint of industrialization. It is the premise and foundation of producer services and theimportant sector of output demand. With the accelerated process of industrialization,manufacturing has been developing rapidly and competition increasingly, producerservices which take manufacturing as the research object has obtained abundantsource of demand, with the intermediate input, knowledge of the characteristics of theproducer services is the industrialized development of propellant. Therefore, Positiveinteraction between producer services and manufacturing can mutual connection andinteraction, they enhance regional competitiveness and improve the industrialstructure.For the issues mentioned above and the actual needs, the paper based on thedevelopment of the interaction between producer services and manufacturing, takesXi’an city as the research object, with " Statistical Yearbook of Xi’an ","statisticalyearbook of Shaanxi province "data, selected time series (1992-2011) andco-integration test, granger causality test and gray correlation method, by Eviews6.0software as an analytical tool for empirical research. According to the presentsituation and the empirical conclusion of producer services and manufacturingdevelopment of Xi’an city, we put forward reasonable, effective countermeasures andsuggestions to promote future development of industrial economy of Xi’an city.The innovation and conclusion of our study mainly include:(1) We take Xi’an city as the research object, analysis the interaction betweenproducer services and manufacturing. Current research mainly concentrated in Beijing,Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo City, and Guanzhong-Tianshui planning, West New Areaconstruction, Xi’an build target with metropolitan internationalization makes theproducer services industry and manufacturing industry development imminent. Thispaper not only broaden the research scope, also confirmed the interaction theorybetween producer services and manufacturing.(2) According to industrial structure deviation--share (SSM) analysis and present situation discussion of Xi’an city, we draw the following conclusion: thecurrent industrial structure Three、Two、One of Xi’an is reasonable. Producerservices development is lagging behind the need and our government should furtheroptimize the structure of manufacturing industry.(3) In empirical aspect, we take research on the interaction of producer servicesas a whole and interaction with the manufacturing. A. Co-integration results show that:producer services and manufacturing of Xi’an co-integrated. Producer servicesincrease1percentage points, manufacturing will increase0.57percentage points.Manufacturing increase1percentage points, producer services will increase1.75percentage points. B. granger causality tests show that: producer services andmanufacturing has a one-way causality relationship. Manufacturing of the producerservices has a more pronounced effect. C. gray correlation tests show that: Therelationship sorts on each industry of producer services and manufacturing aretransportation and warehousing postal industry> scientific research, technical servicesand geological prospecting> leasing and business services> financial insurance>information transmission, computer services and software industry. Financialinsurance and information transmission, computer services and software industry needto be further strengthened.
