With the constant increase of individual requirements of consumers, the mode ofproduction of enterprises gradually changes from mass production to multi-variety andsmall-batch production to satisfy the rapid change of current market. Effective solvingthe question of facility layout of this kind of workshop is important, because thelogistics cost in the workshop of taking multi-variety and small-batch production tendsto be high and is dramatically impacted by the quality of facility layout. Thisdissertation devotes to research the layout problem of the workshops of producingmulti-variety and small-batch products by analyzing existing theories and methods infacility layout filed, and then creating SLP-FLM-GABEC method based on SLP, facilitylayout models and a improved genetic algorithm based on elite chromosomes tosystematically and efficiently addressing the problem of this kind of workshop. And thismethod finally will be used in a practical layout case to test the feasibility and Validityof improved SLP. The main research contents of this dissertation include followssections:In the first section, some basic information about this research is introduced. Firstof all, the research background and the present research field of facility layout both athome and abroad are analyzed. And then the purpose of this dissertation is defined.Finally, the research contents and process of this article are determined.In the second section, SLP-FLM-GABEC method is proposed. First of all, it isintroduced to the connotation of facility layout of workshops of taking multi-variety andsmall-batch production. And then existing theories and methods in facility layout filed isanalyzed. Finally SLP-FLM-GABEC method is proposed by the integrated use of SLP,mathematical models and an improved genetic algorithm, and the process of theSLP-FLM-GABEC is discussed.In the third section, it is discussed in detail to the methods of modelling andcalculating models of the layout of the workshop which produces multi-variety andsmall-batch products. First of all, the process of modelling is divided into two parts,includes the part of modelling a model between cells based on penalty function methodand fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and the part of modelling models in cells.And then GABEC algorithm is proposed according to the characters of multi constraint,multi variable and nonlinear of layout models. Finally, the key technologies of GABEC algorithm are discussed in detail and GABEC algorithm is tested by calculating apractical layout case.In the fourth section, the problem of facility layout of workshop A is solved byimproved SLP. First of all, the basic information about workshop A of company H andthe scheme of facility layout are introduced. And then the facility layout problem issolved by SLP-FLM-GABEC to test the validity of SLP-FLM-GABEC. Finally, thefeasibility and validity of SLP-FLM-GABEC is proved by comparing logistical costsand the non-logistics quantities of the scheme by SLP and the scheme bySLP-FLM-GABEC.
