There are a lot of particle material needs by discontinuous spiral feeding quantitative way to realize quantitative batching and quantitative packaging in the industrial and agricultural production. Discontinuous spiral feeding belongs to the gas/solid two-phase flow system. Compared with traditional single-phase fluid, the solid fluid in pipeline undergoes unpredictable changes, greatly increasing the difficulty of parameter measurement. The particle filling rate is one of particle flow in commonly measured parameters, especially in discontinuous spiral feeding process, which is an important indicator to measure the performance of the discontinuous spiral feeding. The particle filling rate of acquisition has important significance to improve the quality and efficiency of dosing and packaging in industrial and agricultural production.This paper, combined with the actual spiral feeding device structure, through the research and analysis of the particle filling rate testing methods, using the filling rate detection method based on capacitance measurement technology, carry out the filling rate detection study of spiral discontinuous feeding tube in the particle body. Specific work is as follows:Firstly, comprehensive analysis of the domestic and foreign methods about particle filling rate detection, combined with the requirements of the project. Then the capacitance measurement method is selected for the measurement of particle filling rate after theoretical analysis of the filling rate detection principle based on capacitive and the establishment of mathematical model. The structure of the sensor model is designed based on the existing spiral feeder pipeline structure before analyzing the effect of various factors on the performance of filling rate detection, including the spiral electrode、angle shield、radial electrode and the filling material situation around the detected region.Secondly, based on the finite element simulation software COMSOL Multiphysics 4.3a, the sensor output performance simulation contents and steps are arranged, with the model of two-dimensional finite element simulation sensor, and setting the simulation parameters, the simulation of the shield, the radial electrode and sensor of different structure parameters of sizes effect on the output performance of the sensor, through the analysis and comparison of the optimum parameters of the sensor structure, provide a theoretical basis for the production of the actual sensor.Then according to the results of the simulation analysis, combined with actual situation, a filling rate detection sensor is made. With MSP430F149 MCU and MS3110 capacitance conversion chip, the detection system hardware and software are designed. Based on the IAR software integrated development environment the detection system hardware and software are debugged, and the weak capacitance measurement can be realized.Finally, with the 1 mm diameter of sago as filling material, we carried out filling rate sensor output performance test, calibration test and particle filling rate performance test. The test results show that the relative error between the actual value and the theoretical value of the particle filling ratio is-6.28%~5.66%.
