With the rapid development of campus informationization and Digitization construction, the number of the construction of campus business application system has skyrocketed.This kind of construction increases the demand for the hardware hosting platform as well as the difficulties of maintainer.A lot of uneven servers’ management and maintenance brings great pressure to the network center,which including softwares upgrade and maintenance,devices maintenance,fault detection and the re-training of managers,and the complexity of the work also increases with it.Today, as the rapid development of information technology, virtualization technology is more and more concerned by everyone. This technology can not only solve the problem of low utilization rate of resources, but achieve the goal of low carbon and environmental protection as well. Although the utilization rate of hardware platform can be significantly increased through the server virtualization technology, how to manage a large number of the virtual resources effectively and conveniently is an urgent problem to solve.The virtual resource management system can manage virtual resources uniformly.This paper mainly studys the virtualization and server virtualization technology,especially the framework of open source XenServer virtualization architecture and open XenServer API.By analyzing the campus business and virtualization management functions in detail,the overall design of system architecture,the design management system interface and the implementation of interface program are proposed in this paper.This management system can be divided into three parts which are the Web based front-end display interface,the physical server with XenServer and the Web system interface packaging XenServer API calling function. In this paper, each function module of system interface is designed in detail,and the implementation details of partial functional modules,including the user application module,the server resource management module and the virtual machine management module etc, is given.Finally,the construction of virtualization platform based on XenServer and the implementation of the basic operations of the virtual machine and its miscellaneous functions is accomplished by using Jave language and three hardware servers.Through the research on virtualization and XenServer,this paper designs the virtual management system suitable for campus and implements the system interface program based on the XenServer virtual management.Through the management system,the efficient management of virtual servers, the decrease of the number of servers, the cost,and the management difficulty and the resources’ saving can be implemented.
