Research On Multi-strategy Ontology Mapping

With the development of semantic web, the scope of ontology application is more and more extensive. Ontology is an important base of Semantic Web, which is used to describe the semantic information of data processed by the computer, achieve a certain degree of knowledge sharing and reuse between different systems in semantic web, to improve the interoperability, communication and the reliability of the system capacity.Based on the deep research and analysis of the existing ontology mapping methods and tools, this paper proposes an improved multi strategy ontology mapping system RE-MAP, which mainly completes the following three aspects of the work:When generating candidate concept set, simplify the original concept set, reduce the computation and improve the mapping efficiency. To compute relevancy between concept which extracted from the mapping ontology, and eliminate the concepts which its relevancy value is less than the threshold value, and then get the simplified concept set.Considering the semantic information of the name in concept similarity calculation,to improve the accuracy of the mapping results. The similarity of ontology concepts is calculated from four aspects of concept name, instance, attribute and hierarchy, and the final ontology concept similarity value is obtained by weighted synthesis. When calculating the similarity of concept name, not only the similarity of name character is considered, but also the similarity of semantic level. Finally, two factors are combined to measure the similarity of concept name.The system has set up a corrector, to ensure the quality of mapping. According to the characteristics of ontology description language, some rules are formulated. When the mapping result does not satisfy the rule, it is considered as a bad mapping, and it should be eliminated.According to the evaluation method of OAEI ontology mapping contest, the RE-MAP mapping system is compared with the typical mapping system at home and abroad. The experimental results show that the RE-MAP mapping system can accomplish the mapping task well.
