Virtual plant biology is an interdisciplinary of forestry, ecology and computer graphics.In recent years, there is a very wide range of applications, and has been the concern of many scholars.In order to achieve better visual effects, it is necessary to carry out the minutiae plant simulation.Simulation of plant leaves to become a target of many scholars simulation in recent years.According to the relevant knowledge of biological morphological differences between species of different plants can be observed through the veins of a plant leaf shape and the shape of the plant. Therefore,simulation of plant leaves and blades has an important guiding significance for plant identification.Plant leaves can be divided into leaf margin,leaf base and tip.Veins can be divided into one vein and secondary veins, three smaller veins and veinlets.Leaf veins and secondary veins have a certain regularity, can be modeling by 3D visualization.This paper presents one vein and secondary vein visualization modeling method based on blade deformation.On the basis of the deformation of the blade, the blade deformation function is used to generate a cone of one vein and secondary vein.The generated different shapes of veins is coincidentally close to the real veins.The methods herein apply to leaves of vein(a vein) lateral veins(second pulse) generation, especially for relatively smooth lateral veins.Finally,fusing and rendering the leaves and veins through coordinate transformation to get the three-dimensional realistic models.Good analog sawtooth shape of the blade can increase the effort of the shape of the blade.Current less serrated blade modeling method is very little.No implementation of the system simulation of sawtooth.By controlling one or more of the deformation function to generate a sawtooth shape of the blade, to simulate the different forms of jagged, to achieve the overall deformation of the blade.In the end, contrast by the proposed method to simulate some plant leaves,Proved the feasibility and efficiency of the blades and veins co-simulation for virtual botany blades and veins modeling provides a new method of virtual plants and plant growth has important practical significance.
