The existing methods of deformation analysis were based on conventional deformation monitoring means. However, the development process of monitoring technology at home and abroad for decades showed that the conventional methods mainly included the methods of geodedic measurements and close-range photogrammetry.Although the technical processes and standards of these conventional monitoring methods were matured, they still could not fully meet the needs of modern deformation monitoring and analysis. The accuracy of geodetic measurements is up to sub-mm level, but the monitoring data consist of a few points in space are very limited .As a matter of fact, these monitoring modes use a few points to represent the lines, and a few lines to represent the surface .So these modes are clearly not fully express the real information of the surface .GPS measurement as a new modern technology, whose monitoring modes can be divided into Episodic and continuous modes, still exist the same problem as the geodetic measurements. The method of close-range photogrammetry as a monitoring technology started early. Athough the acquired deformation information is relatively comprehensive by this way, the monitoring range is too close and the absolute precision is too low. So the application of this method was been seriously affected by the two reasons. In order to solve the above problems, this paper took Gongzhufen subway tunnel data as the experimental data, and used three-dimensional laser scanner as the main monitoring instruments. The point cloud data accquired by the three-dimensional laser scanner, were greatly improving the spatial sampling rate. According to the corresponding algorithm, point cloud data could output the depth images which were the raw data of this paper . It proved that using this method could not only meet the needs of remote monitoring, but also meet the requirements of overall deformation monitoring and analysis.
