By the combination of "user pull" in CCN and "broadcast push" in the broadcast-storage architecture, binary architecture network broadcasts popular Internet contents and UCLs to all users and collaborative content distribution gateways to improve the users’ experience and alleviate the problem of "information overload". In the process, collaborative content distribution gateway receives and caches the popular resources and UCLs which are sent by broadcast transmitter, and uses them to response requests which come from clients. Thus, collaborative content distribution gateway plays a very important role in binary architecture network. In a word, to research and design efficient storage management strategies of collaborative content distribution gateway is of great importance to enhancing the overall performance of binary architecture network. This thesis focuses on the storage management of collaborative content distribution gateway, including storage format, cache placement strategy, cache replacement strategy and prototype implementation. The main contents are as follows:(1) By analyzing the application requirements of the collaborative content distribution gateway, we design two kind gateways:edge gateway and convergence gateway by the location and function of collaborative content distribution gateways. Combine with the characteristics of broadcast push contents and router forward contents, two storage strategies is proposed for edge gateway and convergence gateway, which can improve cache efficiency of gateways by taking full advantage of broadcast pushed contents.(2) According to the application requirements of convergence gateways, a new cache placement strategy which applicable to convergence gateways is proposed, which combines the hash cache placement strategy and the characteristics of the broadcast pushed contents. By using the new cache placement strategy, we can overcome the single point of failure and improve the utilization of cache space.(3) Aiming at the deficiency of the existing cache replacement strategies, we define the cache value which is computed by the popularity degree, freshness and user access frequency, and propose a cache replacement strategy based on cache value.(4) Combine with the actual requirements of the binary architecture network’ prototype systems of the involved research subject, we design and implement the prototype system of collaborative content distribution gateway. Then we verify the feasibility of the caching strategy and the cache replacement strategy proposed in this thesis, experimental results show that compare with other existing policies, two new strategies have different levels of optimization.
