The conventional air conditioning systems only control temperature and humidity parameters.The objective is single and comfort effect is poor with high energy consumption. With the continuous improvement of living standards, the demand for air-conditioning’s comfort is increasing,but due to the gradual depletion of fossil fuels, the energy consumption of air conditioning also put forward higher requirements. Conventional air conditioning system has been unable to satisfy human needs, so people began to spend more and more attention on thermal comfort indices. Puting thermal comfort index as the control target for the air conditioning system research has made some progress.This paper taking VAV system for the carrier and taking PMV index for the target explore the comfort and energy consumption issues between conventional temperature control systems and PMV control systems. The main contents are as follows:First, modeling the mathematical model of the components of the VAV system in TRNSYS simulation interface and seting the related parameters. According to typical office building CAD plan in Xi’an, building a simulation model in TRNSYS TRNBuild and the seting structural maintenance parameters and indoor load parameters in detai.Then seting up VAV system model in TRNSYS Studio,describing the model building process and seting the operating parameters of the air conditioning system in detail.Then Runing the simulation model,verifying the model conform to the actual situation by analysising the result curve of temperature,load and room comfort. Room temperature and different temperature settings in the same area under the power and comfort of output, and the results comparative analysis of the pros and cons "26 ℃ air conditioning energy conservation action".The last,we use two different control strategies in air conditioning system, namely, temperature control and PMV control. For temperature control, seting a different room temperature,then outputing the resulting curve of room temperature,room load and comfort.For PMV control, calculating the average PMV at a temperature controlled room by TRNSYS software in the summer and winter conditions,then calculate the room temperature hourly values when given PMV for this through Matlab iterate, then setting the room temperature reaches the PMV control, outputing the resulting curve of room temperature, room load and comfort. Analysising the output curve under the two control strategies and explaining the advantages in energy saving and comfort between the two strategies.Finally, the paper discusses the influence of different ways for personnel behavior and air conditioning systems, to further illustrate the advantages of thermal comfort control.
