Home entertainment occupies an important role in people’s life. Users want to get the high-quality audio-visual enjoyment at home as same as in the cinema. With the rapid development of wireless internet technology, the multimedia content and applications on mobile phones and other handheld devices become increasingly diverse. Users want to share the multimedia content in mobile phones and other handheld devices on big TV screen at anytime and anywhere. In order to solve the requirements of personal users on high-quality home entertainment and sharing digital multimedia content, based on analyzing of BD(blue-ray) player products, this article has designed and implemented a high-definition 3D blue-ray player.This article mainly introduces the high-definition 3D blue-ray player from the following several parts. First of all, introduces the research status for BD(blue-ray) products, analyses the application module of the BD(blue-ray) player in details and devides the application module of the high definition 3D BD(blue-ray) player into main interface, configuration application, video playback application, audio playback application and picture playback application. The main interface is the main operation interface of the system. Configuration application provides configuration operation for the system and other applications, reads and writes data into the database. In the network configuration it has implemented the Wi-Fi Direct technology, realised the point-to-point direct connection of handheld devices and BD(blue-ray) players, and made the screen of handheld device be shared onto the TV that connected with the BD(blue-ray) player. Video playback application provides users with video content, including 2D and 3D Full HD(full high definition) content. In order to solve the problem of insufficient of 3D video content, this article agrees to extract the depth map through movement and texture feature,this method can make 2d video to 3d output using 2d convert to 3d technology. As for the way to estimate the depth map, it is first to separate the foreground and background, then separately get depth of foreground and background on the basis of movement and texture feature, finally get the effective merge depth map. Audio playback application is to provide users with audio content, including a lot of audio discs and other audio files on a storage device on the market. Picture playback application is to provide users with the function of the image playback, including 2D and 3D pictures, and 2D pictures can be converted to 3D pictures display using 2D convert to 3D technology. Then, based on the system design documentation, develop and implement the corresponding function, after unit testing and integration testing and acceptance testing, deliver to the customer, become the products and be saled to users.High definition 3D blue-ray player has completely implementd all the functions of customer requirements and has been mass-produced and marketed. It is much better than any other similar product both on functional performance and user experience.
