Nowadays the requirements of high-speed data acquisition system are becoming more and more necessary. High-speed Data Acquisition System is used in so many research fields such as radar, sonar, software wireless and twinkle signal. Because of the extreme requirement of signal integrality, signal obstruction, high-speed PCB layout, real-time storage and the complex environments, it is very difficult for us to find a high-speed data acquisition solution that is suitable for long-time data acquisition. So the application of high-speed data acquisition is limited in industry production and scientific research. At this background, this thesis brings forward a solution of high-speed data acquisition and storage system. It combines large capacity hard disk with embedded microprocessor to produce a high-speed data acquisition system which can do continuous high-speed data acquisition over a longtime period.Firstly, this thesis introduces the development and architecture of high-speed data acquisition system. According to the traditional data acquisition solution, it discusses every critical technique of high-speed data acquisition. Among these, high-speed mass storage is the key technology of this solution. By comparing with traditional technology, it brings out a solution that is more universal, more capable and satisfies the requirements of high-speed long time continuous data acquisition and storage.Secondly, the thesis analyzes the design principle of hardware system, and descries the architecture of the solution. It analyzes how to implement AD converter, IDT72V3690 circuit, FPGA chip EP1C2214 design, including RAIDO disk control and application of embedded microprocessor LPC2214.Thirdly, the thesis descripts the design and realization of embedded software of LPC2214. First of all, it brings out the thinking of software layer, and designs the software architecture. It introduces the configurations and instillation of LPC2214 module and programming of ATA interface. Then, this thesis introduces the basic principle and architecture of "sequential records file system" and then gives the particular implementation. At last, it introduces the implementation of USB host data interface.Lastly, some disadvantages and improvements of the data acquisition system are summarized. There's some thing that needs further research.
