With the development of mobile satellite navigation and space ranging optical communication technology, the control system of laser gets growing concern. Laser communication not only has features that is great communication capacity and confidentiality strong, but also has good anti-jamming features. With the increasing demanding of low SNR and high dynamic for the navigation ranging, the value of space laser control technology is growing. In this paper, ranging and time synchronization technology have been studied in detail, based on the space ranging and control system.For the common algorithms of ranging--synchronization forwarding, symbol count, the asynchronous response, the article describes and summarizes the respective advantages and disadvantages. Then, the article introduces the relevant content about time synchronization technology, it referred to herein is relative time synchronization within the system. Finally, this paper gives the specific implementation about laser ranging and time synchronization, including hardware implementation and software implementation.By the relevant simulation and hardware testing, the results show that the design of this paper can achieve the requirements of desired index.
