Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) system is a promising automatic identification technology which has been developing rapidly for several decades. It has the advantages of high efficiency, fast, reliable, not requiring line of sight communication and can work in harsh environment. Because of these, it is widely applied in data acquisition, product identification and other field. At present, the security authentication protocols and tag anti-collision algorithms have become very important in the RFID research. There is an application which has a large number of readers and tags in the RFID system. The application can lead to mutual interference between tags. This interference is called collision problem. The tag anti-collision algorithm is to solve the problem which the reader can successfully identify the multiple tags at the same time and the tags will not interfere each other.Under the condition of maintaining low complexity and data storage, the anti-collision algorithm should be researched to reduce the recognition time and improve overall system throughput.Meanwhile, with the development and extensive application of RFID technology, the perfect security authentication protocol becomes more important to protect information and user privacy. Therefore designing a safe and low cost security authentication protocol is one of the deserved topics in RFID research. In this paper, the two key technologies — — the anti-collision algorithm and security authentication protocol—— have been systematically studied. This paper mainly includes:1. This paper designs a new anti-collision algorithm, which combines the key technology of CDMA with the group dynamic frame slotted Aloha(GDFSA) algorithm. The new algorithmcould identify the multiple tags at same time because it makes full use of the anti-collision mechanism of the GDFSA algorithm and the spread spectrum technology. The simulation results show that the new algorithm improves the system throughput and speeds up the identification process in many tags situation.2. The improved LMAP+ protocol is proven to be vulnerable to the tracking and full disclosure attacks. In this paper, we design a new mutual protocol which combines the improved LMAP+ with the physical unclonable function(PUF).Through the simulation and analysis, the new protocol can prevent the tracking, the full disclosure, the cloning and other attacks.3. The two key technologies, the ant-collision algorithm and security authentication protocol, are always researched independently. This paper designs a new protocol which combines the anti-collision algorithm with the security authentication protocol. The code division multiple access technology is integrated with the authentication protocol. Theory and simulations show that the novel protocol can not only handle with collision problem but also resist some possible attacks.
