In the process of development of numerical control system, if we want to test the effect of a control strategy or want to compare the impact of different trajectory planning on the system tracking accuracy, we would actually go to the processing plant, which is not only inefficient, but may lead to mechanical platform damage or safety incidents due to improper use of the parameters. Therefore, this dissertation aims to establish virtual simulation system for the lead screw guide system, which is most commonly used in the CNC machines, and hoping to develop the simulation platform of the CNC system based on the lead screw system.In this dissertation, a whole architecture of virtual simulation platform is put forward, which is based on the process of CNC machining process. Virtual simulation platform can be divided into specific modules, including trajectory planning module,control module, single axis platform module, error analysis module and compensation module. The dissertation also gives the data exchange relationship between the modules.We analyze the mathematical modeling based on the XY table in our laboratory, the system is investigated in time domain and frequency domain respectively, the unknown parameters of the corresponding are identified by least squares identification method. In order to reflect the characteristics of the system, the dissertation mainly focuses on the reverse gap, friction force and other nonlinear factors analysis and modeling, and establishs the model of a servo drive and mechanical structure. Then based on the plane grating, we investigate the output of simulation systems and experimental platform effect under conditions of circular and non-circular trajectory. We analyze the tracking error and verify the accuracy of the model. Finally, based on the existing simulation platform, we add the compensation control module to the virtual simulation system. By comparing contour error of experimental platform and simulation platform before and after compensation, we prove the compensation is effective.Based on theories, simulations and experiments, this dissertation verified the accuracy and validity of virtual simulation platform. The dissertation not only provides a method for the type of lead screw guide modeling and identification, but also provides a virtual simulation platform for the research of control strategy, trajectory planning and interpolation.
