In recent years, a variety of development tools for study to explore the construction of the virtual scene, make the class system each has its own characteristics. This system is designed to adopt the more widely used and modeling tool, the OGRE rendering engine and on3 dmax Physx physics engine, with the Yellow River museum as the prototype, design a 3 d virtual reality roaming system, create a realistic 3 d virtual museum environment, users can through the network to virtual roaming museum, museum of relevant information.In system development, the use of the software development scheme based on virtual reality technology, adopt the method of computer graphics, based on the 3 d model for the whole virtual scene roaming system at the core of building based on VRML system need to adopt 3 as the main tool of modeling on3 dmax, to ensure the system run speed, BiZhenGan scenes and real-time interaction, also in the scene of the system model for a certain degree of optimization method research. In the virtual reality system, including the three dimensional spatial data acquisition, 3 d data model and digital terrain model and digital elevation model and 3 d data of level of detail model and the expression of 3 d data visualization, etc, on the basis of theoretical research, with the help of a professional virtual reality modeling software MultiGen Creator to build three-dimensional environment of scenic spots, and combining with the advanced development language C, call Vega function library to establish virtual reality terrain scene, realize the virtual scene of amplification, narrow, rotation, roaming, query and other interactions.Proved by experiment and test, and based on the real environment of the Yellow River museum that virtual reality system eventually won the corresponding virtual scene, both in lifelike, real-time and controllable hit the target, the roaming system based on this kind of scenario generation will produce a strong sense of immersion, and because the real and virtual scene of consistency, that based on the actual human body movement tracking and scene interaction more natural.
