Knowledge is the main force to promote the development of social science, culture, and economy. The share value of knowledge only happens after its dissemination to the community. Media technology accelerates the spread of knowledge. Along with the development of the Internet and the popularity of smart phones, the way of people to get knowledge has changed a lot. Now people can get the information they need at anytime, anywhere. Since 2011, Zhihu Online are more biased on the production and dissemination of professional knowledge. Since then, the knowledge sharing of virtual community has entered a new era.As an online community of "collective intelligence collection," Zhihu has gathered a group of professionals from different fields. Geeks means the experts in the field, or the people with a hobby or pursuit of knowledge. The appearance of virtual community knowledge sharing platform- Zhihu, has given another platform for Geeks. Zhihu community advocates "Be serious and you will win". Zhihu promotes the users to give professional answers to the original questions, while they are also encouraged to pursuit the ultimate exploration of the unknown domain. Because of Geeks group‘s own influence and their answers‘ professionalism, accuracy, completeness, and other advantages compared with ordinary users. It‘s easier for Geeks to get support and endorsement, while their framework of thinking is more likely to influence other users‘ perspective on problems.In this research, from the view of communication, we focused on opinion leaders and new phenomena among the quiz community. In the case of Geek phenomenon in Zhihu, we used the ecosystem model in media environment science to analyze the how this kind of new opinion leader happened in Zhihu, and expatiated on the impact caused by this new phenomenon. Firstly, after analyzing Zhihu‘s unique propagation characteristics, we summed up the phenomenon of Geeks, analyzed their phenomenons‘ representative and typical characters. Then, the ecosystem model is used to analyze which factors caused Geek phenomenon in Zhihu. Then we collected, organized the research ideas of scholars in the field to establish research route. On the basis of analysis and understanding the research status of other scholars, the external environment factors are analyzed of how Geek phenomenon formed in Zhihu. Then the reason why Geek phenomenon could exist on Zhihu is analyzed, with the selection of the Q&A on "what science mistakes are in Chai jing‘s fog nvestigation and documentary ?Under the Dome‘?". The investigation of Zhihu‘s disseminator, content, channels and audience are chosen to analyze the internal environment factors of how Geek phenomenon formed in Zhihu. In the parts of conclusion and reflection, we analyzed that the appearance of Geek group and Geek phenomenon not only caused impact on knowledge innovation and diffusion, but also would gradually change our channels and ways to get knowledge.
