With the development of internet technology and the continuous improvement of research about routing devices’ visualization technology, routing device manufacturers need to shorten product development cycle in order to adapt to the rapid changes in the market. As for the MDC a virtualized environment, the original development cycle of TCAM-related features is too long to adapt to the rapid changes of the market demand. The MDC interlayer about TCAM must be optimized against this background. And the product development cycle is shortened because the model is easy to transplant and reusable.The optimization of the TCAM entries management algorithm and the implementation of specific features are well done after the MDC interlayer about TCAM is determined. First, through analysis some problems about the origin MDC Interlay, the new MDC Interlayer about TCAM need to achieve to solve these problem and improve the performance of some models. At the same time, the outline is designed and their relation is also determined while the software shadow table is the core. Next, because the existing algorithms about management of entries cannot meet the requirements nowadays, therefore we propose a new algorithm based on the existing algorithm, which is a greater efficiency and easier to achieve. Then, this system is detailed designed and achieved. The management of TCAM entries realize the algorithm of the TCAM entries management. The object of table management proposed while achieving the dynamic management of TCAMs is helpful to make the TCAM in to or out from the MDC. The TCAM hardware maintenance can make a real-time monitoring of TCAM to help reduce accidents. Finally, these features are tested successfully, and the system is successfully put into production.By the above discussion that combine the theoretical analysis and practical operation, successfully completed the development of MDC interlayer about TCAM, since which subsequent product development efficiency is greatly improved, and also has great practical value.
