With the development of automotive technologies, modern cars are developed towards safety, comfort and intelligence. More and more ECUs(electronic control units) are equipped in modern cars. So the requirement of the design of vehicle network as well as hardware and software is getting higher and higher. CAN bus protocol is one of the most important protocols in an automotive network. High reliability, configuration flexibility and automatic error-handling capabilities are the main advantages of CAN bus. But CAN bus protocol does not define the network management part. The aim of this thesis is to study OSEK direct network management based on CAN bus. The thesis uses these research methods:requirement analysis, design, implementation and test.First, we designed a sub network topology according to the OSEK direct network management. This sub-network includes BCM, ICU, BSM and PEPS. We implement OSEK direct network management function for PEPS and other ECUs will be simulated by CANoe tool.Secondly, We designed a simple PEPS(car access passive entry system). This system includes hardware design and software design. Hardware design includes hardware system design and hardware module design(MCU, power regulator, antenna logic, RF receiver and CAN transceiver); Software design includes driver layer, servicer layer and application layer. The driver layer mainly implements the function of the interface of I/O and CAN; the servicer layer mainly implesments the function of the core of OSEK direct network management; the application layer mainly implements the function of PEPS.Thirdly, we designed and implemented the function of the core of OSEK direct network management, which includes the algorithm design and the network state design. The algorithm design includes the design of alive message, ring message and limp home message. The network state design includes the design of normal state to bus sleep state and the design of limp home state to bus sleep state.Finally, we tested and verified the system. First, we introduce the test method, test tools and test environment. Then we designed test cases according to OSEK direct network management standard. Finally, we tested the system and verified the feasibility of the system.
