The research project of this thesis comes from a national specialized key project on scientific technology, which is named "the technology verification and research of ultra high speed local area wireless network and its international standardization" (No:2012ZX030040 05-003). The main work of this thesis is to research the co-channel interference coordination algorithm for next generation Wi-Fi, which will focus on the research of Full Frequency Reuse Based Multi-cell Channel Allocation algorithm (FFRMCA) and Interference Cost Based Multi-cell Power Allocation algorithm(ICMPA), including the algorithm simulation and performance estimation. The whole thesis is divided into five chapters as follows:Chapter one introduces the background and research meaning of this project, and describes the main contents and chapters’arrangement of this thesis.Chapter two mainly introduces the IEEE 802.11 standard, key technologies of Wi-Fi network and co-channel interference technologies. The IEEE 802.11 standard series and several common IEEE 802.11 standards are introduced. Then Wi-Fi network technology is introduced, including the network form and the key technology in next generation Wi-Fi. Then the co-channel interference suppression technology and co-channel interference coordination technology are discussed in detail, which will offer an abundant knowledge supply for the following project research.Chapter three gives an in-depth description on the design and simulation of FFRMCA algorithm. This chapter introduces the characteristics of next generation Wi-Fi based on OFDMA system and makes an analysis on present multi-cell channel allocation algorithms. Then this thesis comes up with a FFRMCA algorithm for next generation Wi-Fi, which divides the channel allocation problem into two optimization problems and approaches the answers in two methods. The result of the simulation shows that the algorithm can significantly improve the system throughput and spectrum efficiency as well as other system performances.Chapter four discusses the design and simulation of ICMPA algorithm. After studying the present multi-cell power allocation algorithms, an ICMP algorithm for next generation Wi-Fi is proposed. In the algorithm each cell will transform its taken interference strength into price information and send it into the network and quantificats the interference strength using price information from other cells. The algorithm will be iterated several times and in each time the power allocation and interference price information will be updated in order to acquire better coordination performance. The result of the simulation shows that this algorithm can effectively reduce the influence of the inter-cell co-channel interference, thus can improve the system throughput.Chapter five summaries the whole thesis and makes a prospect of the future work.
