With constant growth of urban population, traveling by public transport is gradually becoming the mainstream of urban transport; while public transport services directly relate to the image of a city and the comfort level of people’s life. Hence, it appears to be of great significance to establish public transport service evaluation system, provide passengers with open and free channels for feedback of comments and suggestions. In the traditional public transport service evaluation system, passengers show their satisfaction or dissatisfaction towards the bus service by swiping their public transportation card. By this way, it not only becomes complex for maintenance and needs high cost, but also feedbacks from passengers are much simple, which cannot meet the requirements of passengers and public transportation companies.To solve the above-mentioned contradiction, the two-dimension code(QR code) technology is applied into the public transport service evaluation system in this paper, which not only greatly reduces the costs of input and maintenance, but also truly achieves the diversification of feedbacks from passengers, providing passengers with free, convenient and efficient channels for feedback of comments and suggestions, and providing public transportation companies with real-time, clear and accurate statistic platform for information management. Main works in this paper are as follows: 1、 Bus service evaluation system based on QR code is designed. The system is divided into three parts: the QR code printing program, the decoding App and the background statistical program. By scanning the QR code within the bus with the phone, passengers can automatically log in the service evaluation page and select the commenting options or express their comments and suggestions towards public transport service freely, while public transport companies can monitor the feedbacks from passengers and the statistical forms in real time through the background of the system. 2、 The QR code printing program is realized, witch includes implementation of QR code encryption algorithm, error correction of QR code, QR mask, creation of database, design of level 4 indexing way to read vehicle information, composition of QR code with specified background and its batch output. 3、 Design a dynamic link library of regarding QR code recognition algorithm, and develop a decoding App for the Android system. Characteristics of the Android platform are analyzed, and preprocessing and decoding algorithm of QR code are transformed to library functions.The App capture image date by using the camera of an Android device and decode the QR code by calling the recognition algorithm library. 4、 Background statistical program is implemented. System management and statistic analysis are included within the background. The system management module provides management for vehicles, routes, bus fleets, feedbacks from passengers and organization departments, etc.; while, the statistic analysis module provides various horizontal and vertical yearly or monthly analysis report.
