Research On The Android Mobile Terminal Network Applications Of QR Code

QR Code has been a wide range of applications in all works of life since its birth. Traditional method of QR Code image acquisition and recognition takes use of scanner or industrial camera. But the current application of the QR coe has been gradually deep into people’s daily lives and work, if you still use the traditional way of recognition of QR Code, firstly, it is not convenient, and secondly, it is not realistic. Then, We can use the mobile intelligent terminal system, namely take use of smart phones instead of the scanner or industrial camera to recognise QR Code. Compared to scanner or industrial camera, smart phone is easier to carry.The smart phone operating system developed rapidly in recent years. Android operating system, although its development time is short, but due to some of the advantages of its own, has got a rapid development since its birth, showing a strong momentum of development. According to the report of the U.S. mobile advertisement network Millennial Media, the Android operating system occupies a dominant position with a proportion of53%in the global smart phone market in April2011. In this paper, we use the Android operating system as our development platform. On the basis of previous work, we analyzed the feasibility, necessity and practicality of QR code recognition in the Android operating system on the phone, while achieving the function of capturing QR image through Android mobile operating system and recognizing it. We also made a detailed introduction of the process in our project: Capturing the QR Code image through Android phone camera, QR Code image processing and QR code recognition. The main works and innovations of this paper are mainly in the following aspects:1) We have studied and analyzed the current development status of the smart phones, and also analyzed the characteristics of the Android operating system mobile phones, and finally pointed out that the reason we choose the Android mobile phone operating system as we develop applications for mobile terminal;2) We have realized the function that we can obtain information which others can’t obtain from server by Android phone, and then display it into QR Code which can be stored to SD card, if necessary.3) We have proposed a specific application based on the work in this paper, namely order movie tickets online system.
