Information systems’ data volume shows a diverse, explosive growth trend with the rapid development of new generation information technology. Based on the Internet of Things technology, the concept of "Wisdom Campus" was put forward and made great development in recent years. The traditional campus business systems contains educational management system, personnel management system, financial management system, asset management system, etc. Although the dispersed and different data management systems can meet the requirements of data storage and business management respectively, but with the increasing trend in the cooperation both inside and outside universities, data exchange between the systems has met problems such as inefficiency and difficulty.Based on the above issues, through the study of existing heterogeneous database synchronization techniques, this paper puts forward a kind of design and implementation scheme for The Wisdom Campus System which based on the heterogeneous database. The scheme is available for most business systems’ heterogeneous source database to access the data warehouse. The data warehouse implemented cold/hot data separation by PostgreSQL and MongoDB. PostgreSQL is used to store the hot data, supports system’s core business logic. MongoDB is used to store the cold data, supports historical data archiving and convenient for data analysis in the future. The data warehouse implemented functions such as data synchronization, format conversion and whole database query through the middleware. The branch framework of data warehouse has the high capacity of storage and exchange.On the basic of the data warehouse, this paper has implemented the unified identity authentication. It improves the efficiency of users to access the different campus business systems. In the system, campus services show as official accounts, which provide services such as news push, information query, etc.To sum up, the wisdom campus system designed and implemented in this paper solves the problems such as data exchange, resource sharing and unified management. This system’s first phase delivery was completed in December 2014, and it was applied to Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology, which has verified its reliability and security.
