Computer technology has penetrated into all walks of life currently. From the 80 s in last century, in the United States there have been many chemical process simulation software companies such as AspenTech, SimSci and so on. But they developed independently and can not compatible with each other. Under the sponsorship of AspenTech company, European Union designed the CAPE-OPEN interface standard applied on process simulation at the end of last 90 s, namely open computer aided process engineering interface standards. In the domestic complying with CAPE-OPEN standards’ chemical softwares or components are very few. So we develop a thermodynamic property calculation component based on CAPE-OPEN standard.Based on the Visual Studio programming environment, using Visual c++ programming language develops a thermodynamic property calculation system. The thermodynamic properties calculation system fully follows the CAPE-OPEN standards. Based on the CAPE-OPEN standard, the thermodynamic properties calculation system components with Aspen Plus and Hysys simulation software can compatible with each other. Thermodynamic properties calculation system linking in the database can export property package. Aspen Plus and Hysys simulation software can call that. Deeply understanding of CAPE-OPEN standard variable type, interface specification, function method, analysing the thermodynamic calculation structure of chemical process simulation system, designing components’ function, implementation method and interface communication mode. Using Visual c++ language develops simulation system thermodynamics’ user graphic interface and the components of the modules. Using Visual Studio 2010 development environment to write interface part, using the Visual Studio 2005 development environment to write the enthalpy solution subroutine, entropy calculation subroutine, density calculation subroutine, gibbs calculation subroutine, constant pressure heat capacity calculation subroutine, saturated vapor pressure calculation subroutine, two-phase phase equilibrium calculation subroutine. In the end, the various physical properties solution of material stream can be realized. By finding literature resources and deducing equations, using Visual C ++ language programmes SRK equation, PR equation, PRSV equation, SRKBM equation, PRBM equation, Wilson equation, NRTL equation, UNIQUAC equation and UNIFAC equation for various physical properties solution.This paper researchs the thermodynamic part of CAPE-OPEN standard and develops thermodynamic property calculation system. It has a strong basic value and practical value. On this basis people can continue to research the rest of the CAPE-OPEN standard and develop new methods of thermodynamics.
