Human being are very dependent on the vision to explore the world. The human eye is important sensory organ for receiving the information of the external light. It can obtain the light, color, shape, size, position and other information of the object. Vision can quickly obtain a large amount of information. Decreased visual will limit the perception of the surrounding information and reduce the quality of life. With the rapid development of science and technology, electronic products become more and more popular, and the visual health problems should not be ignored. The study of the visual characteristics of the human eye can provide an important basis for the diagnosis and treatment of Department of ophthalmology disease, and can also support the development of the image and display technology. Two important indicators of the visual characteristics of the human eye are chromatic aberration and contrast sensitivity function. The former describe human ability to distinguish colors, which is the basis for the printing industry, dye industry, reflecting the characteristics of color discrimination. The latter which is the characterization of the human eye contrast threshold in different spatial frequencies is the basis for the application of optical design, image display and reflects the spatial characteristics of the visual system.In this thesis, a device for measuring the threshold of contrast and chromatic aberration of the human eye has been designed. The design of color and light adjusting method and related device based on four integral sphere which Create the uniform plane light source. For contrast threshold measurement, 8 contrast patterns of spatial frequency are designed, the contrast sensitivity curves of the human eye are drawn from the contrast threshold test results, the experimental results were compared with the experimental results of the clinical use. For color difference threshold measurement, the instrument produces adjustable color stimulus patterns, in experiment of color difference threshold we choice 4 colors in clinical medicine detection. The detailed processing and analysis of the experimental results indicated that the color discrimination thresholds of human eyes is not same for the four color regions and the color difference formula CIEDE2000 is superior to CIELAB in different aspect. The experimental results of this paper can provide a reference for the diagnosis of diseases in the Department of Ophthalmology. Through a lot of testing experiments, the measurement system of human threshold can meet the experiment requirements of Contrast and color difference threshold.
