The satellite system has been widely used in national security, internet, ocean exploration and personal global communication. The low earth orbit satellite(LEO) communication system with global coverage, low delay, low power consumption advantages has become an important part of the global seamless communication system.And LEO will play an important role in the future personal communication system. The motion rules of LEO lead to the increasing handover frequency in the course of communications,so it’s critical to put forward the reasonable channel resources management strategy, not only to ensure the user handover performance and the new call access capability, but also to improve the service quality of the system. The channel reservation strategy which gives handover service of higher priority is widely used in LEO communication system. However, the existing channel reservation strategies ignored a variety of traffic types and the different level users, or considered the handover performance but ignored the performance of the new call. In order to solve the above problems, this thesis proposes the channel reservation management strategy based on priority.Firstly, this thesis introduces the related concepts and technologies of the LEO communication system. Secondly, the current channel resource management strategy for LEO is investigated.Thirdly, according to the different level users and different traffic requirements, a dynamic channel reservation based on multi traffic and multi user priority is proposed, and the Markov analysis is carried out to obtain the channel reservation model. Fourthly,we consider the NP-hard problem for solving the admission threshold, and propose a method based on genetic algorithm to calculate the admission threshold. Finally, on the basis of the model of channel reservation and the calculation of admission threshold,the channel reservation management strategy based on priority is proposed.The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by experiments. This strategy can effectively reduce the blocking rate of high priority traffic and high priority users, and improve the overall user satisfaction.
