Laser engineering net shaping technology is a new technique, which combines advantages of laser cladding and rapid prototyping technology. This technology obtains wildly attention in its field and also wildly used in aerospace, automotive and other industries for processing.Because the technology can quickly produce various kinds of metal components with the 3-D model components.This paper mainly describes the laser cladding platform construction and instrument choice, and in order to make the scattered parts as a whole, the related functions of the laser device, powder feeder, pyrometer are integrated into the control cabinet of the robot by using digital/analog signal. To realize the control of other equipment in the process of movement, the robot movement programs need to add signal output statements.After completing the laser engineering net shaping system, the first step is to grope for the performance of the system, using the orthogonal experiment to analyze of the main technical parameters, after understand the process parameters in the height and width of the molten pool, a set of reasonable parameters for processing are established.It is found that the result is not good by using the process parameters obtained by laser cladding forming. To figure out the failure experiment, the finite element model of laser cladding forming part is built. The birth and death element technology is used to realize the movement of the accumulation of material forming and laser loaded. At the same time, temperature field numerical analysis is implemented. Temperature field distribution across different time is obtained. We found that the melt pool temperature rise with process going, which can prepare fully for the manufacturing of the specimens.On the basis of simulation, using two-color pyrometer to measure molten pool temperature real-time control laser output power, successfully completing the manufacture of the thin-walled cylinder specimens. From the combined components, the result shows that compared with constant power forming, the forming thin-walled parts surface is relatively smooth, wall thickness, and the phenomenon of no disparity between upper and lower specification, no cracks.
