Virtual endoscopy as a noninvasive examination and diagnosis methods, has been unprecedented developed in recent yeas, almost related to all of the human body cavity organs. Currently, the virtual endoscopic techniques for the application on the heart and coronary arteries is mainly using the volume dataset of CTA (computer tomography angiography) or MRCA (magnetic resonance coronary angiography), which is noninvasive. However, noninvasive methods has not become routine clinical means of diagnosis of coronary artery disease, interventional cardiac catheterization remains the primary imaging tools. Coronary artery angiography (CAG) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) are widely used in clinical interventional coronary imaging means. Both in the coronary artery imaging and treatment of coronary heart disease have their own advantages and disadvantages, but complementary. By CAG and IVUS image data fusion, not only can take advantage of the advantages of both, but also overcome their lack of access to lesions of the coronary artery and its full understanding. In this dissertation, based on the coronary artery angiography and intravascular ultrasound image fusion, reconstruction the vessel segments with virtual reality language (VRML) in the virtual scene; quantitative labeling of coronary vessel segments’ morphological parameters such as vessel segment length, cross-sectional area, volume, curvature, torsion and plaque volume, etc.; the establishment of pseudo-color coding color lookup table, the use of vertex marked lumen surface to achieve the hemodynamic parameters of visual expression; creation convenient and flexible user control panel for interactive roaming; creation of a virtual frame library, simulation heart stent surgery.
