Since the 21st century, the unmanned vehicle technology gets rapid development,it already has become strategic peak which governments must enterprise on the way of science and technology.The unmanned vehicle will help or even replace human piloted.And the safety of driverless cars andcartraffic detection is inseparable.The purpose of this paper is to develop a simple and convenient traffic 3D detection system.It can hold the driverless vehicles in front of traffic information of 3D display,provide reliable guarantee for the safety of the driverless cars.The software design of this system is based on the Windows platform and OpenGL.The paper introduces the software design, and lists relevant key function.At the same time this paper introduces the work mechanism of OpenGL,such as coordinate transformation,model and the viewport transformation,projection transformation,texture mapping,etc. These technologies are the key to implement software design.The most important part of this paper are the road form calculating model and software design.In the model design this paper introduces data processing and model establishment of related algorithms,focuses on surface modeling method of the TIN and Grid modeling method.After analyzing their advantages and disadvantages,this paper finally chose the Grid modeling method based on the actual situation. Curved surface fitting mainly analyzed the Bezier and NURBS surface fitting method which is the key of graphics rendering,directly affects the final show effect.At the end of the paper,I tested the software functions.This software realize can the road 3d detection successfully.And I also add the basic interaction functioni in the software whice can realize to draw traffic of translation, rotating and zooming.
