In Distributed Satellite Networking System(DSNS), the satellites complete various functions together by communicating with each other. But the more mature technologies in the field of satellite are mainly the single link communication technologies between the satellite and ground station, the communication technologies between each satellite node are mostly at the stage of theoretical research and have not been applied to the actual application. There are many aspects of the need for further study in DSNS, including the networking architecture, the formation configurations and inter-satellite link technologies. The research work in this document is mainly focused on the networking architecture of DSNS and access protocal of inter-satellite link.First of all, under the background of DSNS, an OpenFlow based SDSN(Software Defined Satellite Network) architecture focusing on the characteristics of DSNS is designed, and later the architecture is analyzed from the whole to the local in detail.Furthermore, a deep research on access protocol which is widely used in the terrestrial wireless networks and satellite networks is made, and the WLAN IEEE 802.11 standard is focused on and the advantages and disadvantages of applying the IEEE 802.11 standard to DSNS are analyzed. After that, a DSNS access protocol based on the IEEE 802.11 standard for the DSNS is designed in this document. According to the spatial network characteristics of DSNS, the designed DSNS access protocol has improved some aspects of IEEE 802.11 standard when applied in DSNS, including the improvement of inter-frame interval and the binary exponential backoff algorithm in MAC plane. At the same time, the topology structure of DSNS is analyzed and determined.Last but not the least, the IEEE 802.11 standard access protocol is simulated on OMNeT + + simulation platform based on the selected satellite architecture, and the throughput and other performances of it are analyzed, and then the designed DSNS access protocol is also simulated. After comparing the different performances of DSNS access protocal and IEEE 802.11 standard, the feasibility and applicability of DSNS access protocol in this document are preliminarily verified.In this document, the networking architecture and access protocol of DSNS are studied, a SDSN architecture based on OpenFlow and DSNS access protocol are designed, through theoretical analysis and software simulation, the innovation and applicability of these two technologies are illustrated, which plays a role in promoting the development of DSNS in the future.
