| The research of wireless sensor network(WSN) has been very hot, though some key technologies are still in exploration, especially the problem of transmission distance and power supply. Thus, this paper puts forward a kind of WSN, which has a low nodes density and is green. “low nodes density†means to make the transmission distance farther, and enlarge the distribution interval of nodes. “green†means to reduce the power consumption of nodes, and harvest energy from the environment.In this paper, the main design work includes: design and fabricate energy harvesting devices; design and fabricate a low power consumption WSN.Firstly, analyzes the feasibility of using energy harvesting technology to supply energy for network nodes, from two aspects of WSN power consumption and energy harvesting technology. Based on the analysis, proposes a compound solution for the power supply of WSN.Secondly, describes power generation principles and characteristics of heat energy, indoor light energy, vibration energy on the environment in detail, and designs structure of energy harvesting devices. Since energy harvested is irregular, a power management circuit is required to change voltage to a proper state.Finally, designs WSN nodes that with low power consumption and long transmission distance, then tests and analysis the performance of nodes. This paper not only stay in theoretical research, but also use the designed energy harvesting devices supply energy for WSN nodes. Tests have shown that energy harvesting of heat energy, indoor light energy, vibration energy can drive nodes perfectly.Although environment energy harvesting is not in large-scale commercial stage, with the deepening of research and breakthrough of key technologies, energy harvesting technology will be widely used in WSN, and has a broad application prospect and market. |
