Research On SDN Application Interfaces And Their Implementation Techniques

With the development of network, users’ demand for diverse services can not be satisfied in traditional networks.The idea of service-customization satisfies our needs of service diversification.SDN can better meet the need of service-customization. Users can orchestrate network resources by the NorthBound Interface(NBI) in order to customize services to meet their needs. Because of the complexity of the arrangement of the network resources is very high. There is no uniform standard for the NorthBound Interface. It has brought great challenges to the service customization.This thesis analyzes the advantage of service customization in SDN. Based on the different types of the function modules in SDN controller, this thesis divides the function modules in SDN controller into basic function module, service function module, service strategy function module,security module and data transfer module. On the basis of the division of the function modules in SDN controller, this thesis designs a function model of customizable application interface. Based on the requirements of network applicaions(such as file transferring and video conferencing) that require different quality of service, this thesis designs and realizes a customizable QoS service interface.Test results show that the customizable application interface model has good expansibility and can support for QoS applications.
