With the development of human-computer interaction technology, people tend to focus on more and more natural interaction techniques. As one of the most natural human-computer interaction, somatosensory interaction gradually gets people’s attention. Somatosensory interaction can be done to make the user’s operating space extends from the plane to the real physical space, enhanced user immersive in the game. Somatosensory technology is an important research direction in the field of game development today.Leap Motion is a somatosensory controller with two cameras and infrared sensors. It can be detected with high accuracy in real-time location information of the hand, fingers, tools and gesture recognition, providing an effective way for somatosensory game application development. The thesis is mainly based on this somatosensory game development process. The preparatory work before development includes the comparison of different somatosensory control device to choose suitable game development somatosensory equipment and development tools. First, in Unity3D, it is an initial game development with the traditional mode of operation, including the creation of game scenes and game characters, model import, design and control of each game interface, and to achieve features of the game characters. Then, add the control by Leap Motion into the game, including the role of the left virtual joystick controlling left, right, front and rear direction, the right-hand joystick controlling role aiming, right fist controlling shooting and the control of the game flow, getting rid of the shackles of traditional keyboard and mouse. Finally, testing the game’s two modes of controlling, concluded that somatosensory control of the game enhances the gameplay, increasing the player’s sense of immersion. Although the game becomes a little difficult, but also it makes the game a lot of fun, can better keep the players as opposed to traditional games.
