The advancement and development of wireless technology cause the growing demand for spectrum resources, and the fixed spectrum allocation policy makes the growing shortage of spectrum resources. There are big differences utilization on each band and low utilization of certain frequency bands. All of the above make contradiction between the requirements of spectrum resource and the lack of available spectrum. How to make effective use of the spectrum hole in the wireless network environment under the existing spectrum resource utilization, has become one of the hot present researches in wireless technology.Cognitive radio is a radio technology that can make adjustment according to their surroundings, such as changing the data translation channel. It can find and use the spectrum hole in the wireless network environment through real-time and dynamical sensing to achieve the purpose of maximizing spectrum utilization.Our laboratory began to do researches on the cognitive radio and cognitive radio network technology from 2012, and proposed A Novel Dynamic Hybrid MAC Protocol for Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Network with Reliable Control Channels which is called RCCDH-MAC for short according to some existing MAC protocols, such as DDH-MAC, OMC-MAC. It has demonstrated that this protocol has considerably improved on network throughput and the average transmission delay compared with the existing MAC protocols through simulation, and the performance of the network is enhanced.This thesis proposes a queuing model called special multi-server closed repeated preemptive queuing model M1M2/M1M2/n/(np+ns)/(np+ns) which is used to describe the protocol operation mechanism exactly through studying the operating mechanism of RCCDH-MAC and the existing theoretical achievements of queuing theory. It introduces the operating mechanism of the protocol, and sums up the particularities of M1M2/M1M2/n/(np+ns)/(np+ns) model compared with the otherMAC protocols. Then it gives the balance equations of this system and deduces mathematical expressions of the associated queuing indicators based on the study of the features of RCCDH-MAC and ) model. We get the mathematical expressions of the performance indicators through analyzing the relationship between queuing indicators and performance indicators of the protocol. And we calculate the protocol indicators for different network parameters with MATLAB and analyze the relationship between capability indicators of the protocol and the network parameters with queuing theory.The simulation data of MATLAB and calculation results based on the model are nearly consistent. It indicates that model is correctly, and it can be the queuing model to describe the operating mechanism of the RCCDH-MAC. It can be used to guide the deployment in projects, optimize the configuration and adjust the parameters dynamically to exert the limitation of the network performance.
