Microwave energy applications has the advantages of high efficiency and controllability,etc. It’s in accord with modern industrial needs and the requirements of emission reduction, microwave energy has been widely used and developed in many areas. Microwave energy applications mainly consist of generator, transmission line,application cavity and power control system,etc. Microwave energy is emitted from the magnetron, then enters into the microwave cavity and irradiates the materials. This parts is called microwave can feed system, its performance affects the whole equipment. How to design the optimization of microwave can feed system is a problem.The application of microwave energy process require that According to the different processing objects and treatment target in different stage has more accurate power control.The traditional manually setting power or simple feedback adjustment are no longer suitable for use. Such a big microwave power regulation control system has no examples both at home and abroad.This paper selects the microwave coal drying equipment.First, Using CST software simulation design, can determine the feed waveguide, size and arrangement of the cavity. Then Combining with theoretical analysis that Moisture content of different materials,height,thickness affect how many matching performance of the system, optimization design can match good feed way, get a small VSWR,uniform distribution of the microwave cavity. It provides design direction for industrial microwave applications production lines.In order to be able to adapt to the complex environment of microwave dry coal production line, Microwave power automatic control system is developed, Solved the previous deficiency of data transfer is slow and low reliability control system.According to the change of coal dry state to adjust the microwave source power output, achieved the purpose of safe and efficient production. The microwave power control system based on CAN bus. It has a very fast communication speed and high stability, It can easily increase the quantity of the microwave source. Control system adopts a algorithm based on PID, operation to get the output power by temperature and reflected power, have a certain universality.
