In recent years, in order to meet the growing demand, the fifth generation of mobile communication systems(5G, also known as IMT-2020) is in full swing among research. Face many new requirements of fifth-generation mobile communication systems for the air interface, OFDM has many shortcomings, but FBMC technology(filter bank based multi carrier, FBMC) is being studied by many scholars as one of its improved technology. Synchronization is one of the key technologies to the FBMC system, but there is very little synchronization algorithm research based on FBMC, few studies document only relates to part of the algorithm research for synchronization and hardware implementation of the overall process less.This paper studies the FBMC modulation system synchronization algorithm.Firstly this paper studied very mature synchronization algorithm research based on OFDM, put forward AHC improved algorithm, and analyzed the possibility it applied to FBMC system. This article used currently available FBMC synchronization algorithm for the simulation and performance comparison analysis, proposes a recursive adaptive fractional frequency offset estimation algorithm combined integer frequency offset estimation algorithm, and gives synchronization algorithm scheme in Multipath fading channel. Finally, considering the synchronization algorithm performance and hardware complexity, this paper gave synchronization hardware design, and the FPGA Implementation.First, the paper describes the history of the development of mobile communications and some of the key technical of 5G, analyzes that facing the new challenges presented by 5G, FBMC technical has many advantages over OFDM technology, then analyzes the significance and research status of synchronization techniques for FBMC.Then describes in detail the FBMC technology and its fast algorithm and the basic principle related to synchronization.Then, under the multipath fading channel model,this paper study the synchronization algorithm for FBMC technology. Firstly, this paper studies the feasibility of applying OFDM synchronization algorithm to the FBMC system. Under the comprehensive consideration, the conclusions indicate the need for FBMC symbol structure-based synchronization algorithm research, this paper conducted timingsynchronization algorithm performance simulation and analysis in multipath fading channels, and an analysis that how to achieve the balance of fractional frequency offset estimation error and estimation range, using an adaptive recursive method, and made a joint therewith integer frequency offset estimation algorithm can be any deviation within reasonable limits were more accurate estimate. Finally, this paper gives a better performance synchronization scheme in multipath fading channel model and verifies its correctness.Finally, considering the performance of the algorithm and hardware implementation complexity and other factors, this paper gave the synchronization algorithm hardware design, and completed functional verification of synchronization modules. Under Resource consumption is reasonable and no timing errors after synthesis, board-level verification is correct.
